How to hard reset Infinix Hot 2 X510

There are many reasons why you may wish to factory reset or hard reset Infinix Hot 2 X510. Hard resetting your Android device is never a thing to fear.

To hard reset Infinix Hot 2, you should be very careful because the steps are not too conventional to earlier Infinix phones. By default, Infinix in some way hide the normal keystrokes to activate stock recovery necessary for hard reset.

  1. Switch off your phone
  2. Press and hold the power button at the same time with volume up button. Release immediately when it shows Infinix logo.
  3. You should now see a dead Android logo No command. 
  4. Hold the power button for 2 seconds and at the same time tap the volume up button to enter system recovery option.
  5. Use the volume up /volume down to move up and down around the system recovery.
  6. Now, use power button to select "Wipe data/ factory reset"

  7. Select "Wipe data/factory reset

  8. Scroll to choose YES to confirm hard reset
If the above doesn't work for you, then try the below steps. 

  • Switch off your phone
  • Press volume up button followed by the power button at the same time. Remove your finger from the power button when the Infinix logo displays on your screen. But leave your other finger on the volume up button until it shows the system stock recovery as in the image above.

Wait until data wipe is complete. Now choose Reboot system now.

Your device has successfully been restored to default settings.
