How to customize Facebook Preferred Pronoun for birthday

Facebook has introduced what they call Facebook Preferred Pronoun. This preferred pronoun determine how your friends send you birthday wishes on your timeline.

Facebook has no custom text for Preferred Pronoun at the moment. The predefined Facebook Preferred Pronoun lets you choose from what your friends will see during your birthday.

Facebook Preferred Pronoun

The available options for the Preferred Pronoun include;

  • Female
  • Male
  • Neutral

Instead of your friends seeing, “Wish Scott a happy birthday”, you can decide to change it to “Wish him a happy birthday”

Set up Facebook Preferred Pronoun for birthday

  1. Open Facebook
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click General
  4. Under Preferred Pronoun, click on it
  5. Under Which pronoun do you prefer?, choose your option
  6. Save changes
