Tired of receiving friend request from one particular person on Facebook over and over again. You don’t want to block the person on Facebook because he/she is either related to you or as a senior colleague. All you have to think now is to permanently stop that person from sending you friend request in future.

In this article, you don’t need to block them anymore. When you stop someone from sending you friend request without blocking on Facebook, they won’t be able to see that send friend request button whenever they view your Facebook profile.

  1. Login to Facebook with your favorite web browser
  2. Go to your Timeline
  3. Click on Friends
  4. Click on Friend requests
  5. Click Cancel request
  6. Click Add as Spam

Adding someone as spam means that you do not recognize the person. The friend request might have been by mistake. From that day, he/she won’t be able to send you friend request. You can still undo the action.

This feature is currently not available for Facebook for Android. But there is a trick that works well for mobile users.

  1. Login to Facebook with your favorite web browser(Chrome, Safari, FireFox, Samsung Internet) on your smartphone
  2. Tap on the browser menu option and tick to select Request desktop site. Allow your browser to load Facebook the same way it will look on your computer.
  3. Go to your Timeline
  4. Click on Friend Requests besides Find Friends
  5. Click Cancel request
  6. Click Add as Spam
