You could start making money through your posts on Facebook

Facebook is considering rolling out a feature that may allow users to make money from posts through a “tip jar”. From Verge survey, it hinted on several ways that users can make money or promote a cause on its website either through a branded content or tip jar (place where fans can tip you money).

The survey also asked users to indicate their interest in a “call to action” button, a way to let followers make donations and a “sponsor marketplace” to match users with advertisers, the report added. Though, Facebook is even considering revenue sharing with its influential users puts it ahead of Twitter, which, along with its six-second video company Vine.

Letting anyone turn into their own broadcaster and Facebook has apparently wasted no time in asking its users about revenue splitting and monetization. Prior to this, Facebook did not offer individual users the opportunity to make money from their posts, though publishers can sell ads inside Facebook Instant Articles. It’s still very early, but we’re committed to creating sustainable, long-term monetization models for our partners and we’re listening to feedback,” a Facebook spokeswoman told the Verge.

Only publishers have been allowed to sell advertising inside its “Instant Articles” feature and Facebook recently clarified rules allowing posts sponsored by brands to be shared on verified pages. YouTube was the first to have launched a similar revenue-sharing program for select users in 2007. YouNow, a live-streaming service geared toward teens, lets fans give money to their favorite performers and live streamers.
