Hi guys, have your windows told you to use a system recovery disk to repair your computer either when it ran into crash or blue screen syndrome. Windows 8 or 10 allows you to create a recovery drive that can be used to restore your computer. This gives access to Windows advanced startup options. This article will tell us how to create a Windows recovery disk using a USB flash media. Also, if you couldn’t get your System Repair Disk from your computer manufacturer or you bought your computer from Ebay or as Used, then this article is for you.
– USB flash drive with at least 250mb of space
– Windows 8 or 10
Note: It is advised that you back up the contents in the flash drive because it will be formatted.
- Press WIN+F to open the windows charm. In Windows 10, you will search on the Start Menu.
- Type “Create a recovery drive”, then click on the option that shows
- Follow the dialog window that shows up. Select the disk you wish to use if multiple disks are plugged in
Then click “Create”. Your recovery disk is now ready.
Now that you have created a recovery drive, learn how to use it to uninstall Linux on a dual boot system.
