How to block annoying popup websites, contents, ads, Video ads on Youtube

Annoying popup websites and non targeted browser  windows can be very annoying. One of the popular annoying popup websites are Konga.com, Jumia.com.ng , but the most popular is Start Money Trading http://startmoneytrading.com/index.html

Thanks to Adblock Plus. It is a web browser add-on that blocks annoying popups, websites, links etc

With Adblock Plus installed in your browser, you can
Surf the web without annoying ads!
Can block tracking, malware domains, banners, pop-ups and video ads – even on Facebook and YouTube
Unobtrusive ads aren’t being blocked in order to support websites (configurable)
It’s free!

Open Mozilla Firefox

On the Menu bar, locate Tools and click “Add-on”. If you couldn’t see Tools in your Menu bar, hit “alt” key on your keyboard.
Now, type “adblock plus” in the search bar where you see “Search all add-ons”
Click on install from the Adblock pluss that displayed. It’s usually the first option out the lists.
At succesful install of Adblock Plus, you will see its icon at the top of your browser windows.
Done.

Chrome
Installing Adblock Plus in Chrome is a bit complicated. If you are using the latest version of chrome, it has no menu bar unless the toggle icon at the top right side of your browser.

To install Adblock Plus in chrome, you either toggle the top right icon or you search the Adblock plus extension from Google.

Installing Adblock Plus through Chrome browser

Tap on the top right icon, Select “More tools > Extension” to open chrome extension.
Type “Adblock Plus” in the search bar and hit enter
Scroll down and select “ADblock Plus” under “Extensions” as shown in the image below. Click ADD TO CHROME
A javascript pop up will prompt you to add extension, then click “add extension”. Wait for your browser to download the extension.
If the installation was successful, you will be notified in a new window.
Done.

Installing Adblock Plus through Google

Type “google.com” in your address bar
Type “Adblock Plus chrome” in the google search bar. The first search result should be “Adblock Plus – Chrome Web Store – Google”. Then click on it to open Chrome web store.
From the window that displayed, Click “ADD TO CHROME” to install the Adblock Plus extension.
A javascript pop up will prompt you to add extension, then click “add extension”. Wait for your browser to download the extension.
If the installation was successful, you will be notified in a new window.
Done.
